The Indian Army Technical Graduate Course (TGC) is a recruitment program designed for engineering graduates who want to serve their country as commissioned officers in the Indian Army. The course is offered twice a year, and the selected candidates undergo rigorous training to become competent officers.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Indian Army TGC 138 recruitment, the following criteria must be met:
Age: The candidate must be between 20 and 27 years of age as of 01 July 2024.
Nationality: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
Educational Qualifications: The candidate must have an engineering degree in one of the following disciplines:
a) Civil Engineering b) Architecture Engineering c) Mechanical Engineering d) Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering e) Computer Science/Information Technology/M.Sc. Computer Science f) Electronics & Telecommunication/Telecommunication/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Electrical Communication Engineering
Physical Standards: The candidate must meet the physical standards set by the Indian Army.
Selection Process:
The selection process for the Indian Army TGC 138 recruitment is as follows:
Shortlisting: The candidates are shortlisted based on their academic qualifications and performance in the engineering degree program.
SSB Interview: The shortlisted candidates are called for a Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. The SSB interview is a comprehensive process that tests the candidate's physical and mental capabilities. It includes a variety of tests such as a psychological test, a group task, an interview, and a medical examination.
Merit List: The final selection is based on the candidate's performance in the SSB interview, academic record, and medical fitness.
Training:
The selected candidates undergo 49 weeks of rigorous training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun. The training is designed to develop the candidates' physical and mental toughness, leadership skills, and military knowledge. The candidates are trained in various aspects of military operations, including tactics, weapons handling, and leadership.
